High latency is causing a high ping and that is one of the main lag causes (beside not meeting the system requirements, hardware or software issues). If I can connect to other NA servers on other games with a ping lower than 300, I don't think the problem lies within Australia. You can test this theory by going to the ESO help page, finding the IP address to the megaserver, and directly pinging it. Your response time will likely be something along the lines of 50-60ms. I'm aware of the high latency issue that's been going on since the patch and that is not what my question is about. Since I've been playing ESO (roughly 9 months) I've consistently had anywhere from 100-150 latency. While I know this isn't horrible, and I know that some players play in the 200+ range it's still a concern of mine. I'm usually at 20-40 ping MAX on almost any given online game
